Barış Doğru was born in İzmir in 1970, and studied in Sociology Department in Bosphorus University 1988-1995. After the graduation, worked in many different companies and produced magazines, annual reports, sectorial researches on different issues and themes as writer, translator, editor, editor-in-chief, manager. Also prepare news, columns form newspapers and magazines.

In 2010 he prepared the concept of EKOIQ, first and unique sustainability magazine of Turkey and began to publish the magazine as editor-in-chief. Also he founded and managed EKOIQ’s online publications. He wrote three books (Umudu Yeşertenler, Conversations on Ecology, Sustainability Guide in 100 Questions, and Lycian Trekking Route) and prepared a documentary (9 parts) as director about Lycian Route for NTV, a national broadcasting company.

He completed Post Graduate degree in 1999 in Sociology Department in Mimar Sinan University, and in 2023 Ph.D in Public Relations Program in Marmara University on Sustainability Communication. Now he continues his works as editor-in-chief in EKOIQ and www.iklimhaber.org (climate news portal) and as sustainability communication expert in EKOLOGOS. ⇐ Back
