Ahmet SÜMER

Farmer

Born in Lüleburgaz, Ahmet Sümer graduated from Üsküdar American Academy and Middle East Technical University (METU) with a degree in Food Engineering. He attended executive education programs related to agricultural technology and agribusiness at Wageningen and Harvard universities.

From a young age, he held various positions in family businesses, including fresh fruit and vegetable brokerage, foremanship, and foreign trade expert. He established his first company in 2003 at METU Technopark.

He has implemented numerous projects on the fields of agricultural organizations, branding in agriculture, competitiveness in Turkish agriculture, and the adoption and feasibility of innovative technologies and methods. He has educational films and documentaries on topics such as sustainability, regenerative agriculture, contract farming, and shared machinery use available on YouTube. In memory of his father, he has established a Social Media platform aimed at providing unbiased information to farmers. Additionally, he is a producer on Turkey's leading agricultural thematic television channel.  ⇐ Back
