Meral MUNGAN

UNDP Türkiye

Meral Mungan Arda graduated from the Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2006, with a degree in Environmental Engineering. Mungan Arda participated in the Environmental Management and Policies programme at Lund University, and the Master programme at METU Environmental Engineering in the field of chemicals risk assessment. In 2007, she joined UNDP Türkiye and she was involved in environmental management projects.

She worked as a Contract Manager in the Central Finance and Contracts Unit of the Treasury Undersecretariat between 2011-2015, and she rejoined UNDP Türkiye, first working in the Procurement Unit, and then as a Projects Coordinator in Chemicals and Waste Thematic Area. As of 2023, she has been serving as the UNDP Environmental and Climate Change Portfolio Manager, where she continues to work in many different areas including sustainable cooling, chemicals management, contaminated sites, nature conservation, renewable energy, waste management, and zero waste.  ⇐ Back
